Easter really snuck up on us this year. I don't know if it's because it hasn't felt very "springy" around here, or what, but all of us were taken a little by surprise when we realized it was coming up! It's been such a busy season for us, we tried to make an effort to slow down and enjoy these moments together! Lily Kate sang beautifully in her Easter musical at preschool. It was pretty emotional realizing it was her last preschool performance ever! I can't believe her preschool graduation is right around the corner! We made our annual trip to visit the Easter Bunny at the mall... it went just like last year! Lily Kate posed and smiled beautifully... Sterling on the other hand, screamed and had a look of terror on his face! Not sure why he is terrified of big fuzzy things, but he is! He said it was because the bunny had "sharp teef"!

| Lily Kate's Easter musical at school! |

| The annual trip to see the bunny! I can't resist buying these pictures for his rehearsal dinner one day! |
 |
| Both kids really enjoyed dying eggs this year! It's a messy job, but so much fun! |
The Easter bunny did visit our house and the kids were super excited to see what was in their baskets! The bunny leaves a letter for the kids every year reminding them that Jesus' resurrection is the real reason we celebrate, and he always leaves a Christian book too!

| My handsome boy in his Easter outfit! He did NOT like the suit! We had to wrestle him into it before church! |
 |
| Lily Kate picked out her own Easter dress this year! She was a beauty, as usual! |
 |
| Any parent knows how this is, but it is impossible to get a picture of both of them smiling and looking at the camera at the same time! |

After church, we came home and started cooking a yummy Easter dinner! Nini and Pop came over, and Uncle Chris too! Lily Kate told the Easter story using Resurrection Eggs and we made Resurrections Rolls to explain how Jesus was put in the tomb, but three days later his body wasn't there! The kids always love taking the rolls out of the oven and realizing that the marshmallow (that represents Jesus) has disappeared!
As always, it was a precious Easter, and we are so very thankful that we serve a Risen Savior! |
