Lily Kate Turned 5!

I need to go back to 2014 for a minute and talk about my big FIVE year old!  The end of the year was so crazy, I didn't have much time for the computer or blogging, so I totally missed my girl's special day!  On December 2nd, we celebrated our precious Lily Kathryn turning 5!  Oh my, how time flies!  She doesn't believe it when I tell her it feels like she was just a baby... but wow, it feels like she was just that 6lb 4oz little bundle we were bringing home from the hospital.  Her birthday was on a Tuesday this year, so we had to go to school.  She had a cupcake for breakfast to start the day off right, and she had a big time celebrating at school too!  Her Daddy brought her a Chic-Fil-A lunch and she got to have a party with cupcakes at the end of the day too!

This sweet face went to sleep a 4 year old, and woke up a 5 year old!

 Lily Kate had asked to go to Build a Bear for her birthday treat, so we left after school and went to create a masterpiece!  Meet Elsa the bear!  She had a blast picking her out and dressing her... she thought it was so fun that they share a birthday now too!

For birthday dinner, Lily Kate requested Fujisan, a Japanese restaurant in our area where they cook in front of you!  Then we came home and had Nini and Pop over for cake and ice cream!  

Present opening is obviously the most exciting thing for a 5 year old... this year Lily Kate requested a few things from American Girl to go with her Saige and Isabelle dolls!  She got the AG Medical Kit and the Isabelle Dance Barre and Set.  She also got a few other fun things like clothes and movies!  

Nini surprised her with tickets to go see Cinderella at the Raleigh Little Theater!

We had the most fun celebrating our girl for the whole day and the celebrations continued to her party that following Saturday!  There will be a separate post for the party, because there are too many pictures!  :-)

Lily Kathryn Kidd... We are so incredibly proud of you and love every minute of watching you grow!  You are becoming a precious little girl that loves the Lord, and one who overflows with joy in all that she does!  We love you and praise God for you!
