Life is hectic, and crazy at best, but oh what a joy it is to hear someone call you "mommy" or "daddy". This is just an account of our daily happenings in this crazy thing we call life. No matter what happens in our day, it's always fun to "kidd" around!

Terrific Two's

I'm not sure how my sweet Sterling Riggs is actually a 2 year old... it doesn't seem possible that the baby in that picture above is a talkative, spunky, precious two year old!  Our sweet boy turned two on October 7th, but in typical Kidd style, I'm late posting!  Life is BUSY with a two year old and an almost five year old running around!  We celebrated our little guy with a Mickey Mouse birthday party the weekend before he turned two, and he was all about it!      We are so very blessed to have so many family and friends that came out to celebrate our sweet boy!  He loved playing and laughing with everyone, and you could tell he ate up all the attention, as usual!  Our party was a "Hot Diggity Dog Bar" in honor of Sterling's favorite show.... MICKA!  October is a hard month to host a party outside, because you never know what kind of weather you are going to get!  The day was beautiful, but super duper windy!  We ended up moving most everything inside at the last minute, because it got so chilly when the sun went down!  It turned out to be so much fun, and we were overwhelmed by all the love poured out on Sterling for his birthday!

We've been asked a lot since Sterling turned two how the "terrible two's" are going, and honestly we kind of chuckle!  Not because Sterling doesn't have his "terrible" moments, but because he is literally the most happy, easy going kid you've ever met!  He loves Mickey "Micka" Mouse, trains, and anything that has four wheels!  He is mesmerized by airplanes, and squeals when he hears them in the sky!  He loves to sing, and memorizes songs more quickly than I can!  Watching him dance is a hoot, because he's got moves like his daddy!  A lot of times he dances with one finger pointing in the air, or pretending to snap!  Sterling has the biggest vocabulary that I've every heard from a two year old (a lot like his sister), and he repeats everything he hears!  It's so funny to hear certain words that he says... right now he loves dump trucks, tractors, etc... and his favorite he calls an "Ex-i-ca-bator"!  When he smiles, he lights up a room, and he is the most loving little boy I know!  He loves to snuggle, and he is perfectly content sitting in my lap reading a book, or singing songs with me!  I know he will outgrow this at some point, so I cherish every second of it!  He's still wearing diapers/pull-ups, although he pee-pees on the potty all the time!  He has a Mickey potty seat that he thinks is the coolest, so sitting on that has become sort of a game for him!  He even wipes his hose when he pee-pees and then exclaims, "Mama, I wipe my cack too!"  I crack up every time!  Sterling is super attached to his paci and his lovie... I'm not so concerned about the lovie, but giving up the paci is going to be HARD!  Not looking forward to that!  He is only allowed to have it in bed now, but he will pretend to have a "boo-boo" and fake cry, and then ask for the paci!  It's amazing how smart they are even this little!  Sterling still adores his big sister, and wants to do everything she does!  He thinks she hung the moon!  He tells all of us that he loves us all the time, and we are so very blessed by his sweet, tender heart!  Praying this next year will be a sweet time with our boy as we watch him grow into the little guy God wants him to be!
