Since school has ended we have been on a mission to make each summer day count! Lily Kate will be in year round school, so she starts mid July rather than the end of August. Knowing that our summer would shorter this year, we've really tried to make the most of our time off! These are just a few pictures of our favorite summer activities!
One of the kids favorite places in Raleigh is Marbles Kids Museum! It is filled with a life-sized fire truck, ambulance, pirate ship, vets office, tool room, and pretty much anything else a kid could want to play in! Lily Kate and Sterling love going and getting to pretend to be any and everything!
Friday nights are Family Date Nights in our house! One of our most favorite dates was our trip to Frankie's! We played putt-putt, rode go-karts, and played some video games! The kids thought that putt-putt was the greatest, and both of them had a blast on the super fast go-karts!
Our neighborhood pool is probably our favorite summer activity! We are there multiple days and nights throughout the week. We swim, grill, and enjoy relaxing by the pool!
The kids just recently started sharing a bedroom, and surprisingly they love it! There hasn't been any bickering, and they've actually become pretty attached to having the other person there!
Mommy loves getting to spend these warm days at the pool with them! We have a blast playing in the water and splashing around!
Mmmm... Watermelon! I think we've eaten two a week since the summer began!
This awesome swimmer took her swim test at our pool and passed! She can swim anywhere in the pool that she wants to now, and she loves going down the water slide!!
