Snow Days - Take 2

 This has been kind of a crazy winter for Raleigh!  We have seen two snows in two weeks... and our kids were thrilled!  The first snow didn't amount to much, but we did get a couple of days off of school.  The second snow gave us about 4 inches though, and we had a blast playing in it!  We went sledding, had snowball fights, built a huge snowman, and Cameron and Lily Kate even invented a form of sledding called "Adventure Sledding"!  We ended up having 3 snow days at home, and it was so nice to snuggle up with nowhere to go and nothing to do but play!  Cameron and Lily Kate made homemade apple turnovers, and we ate them for dinner one night!  Lily Kate thought it was so much fun that we were having dessert for dinner!!  She also decided on the second snow day that it was her American Girl doll's birthday.  I made a birthday shirt for Saige, we baked cupcakes for her, and even lit a candle and sang!  Lily Kate really got into it!  Snow days are so much fun as a parent... seeing things like this through the eyes of your children brings so much joy and excitement!
