I'm super behind on posting all of our holiday festivities, so I might as well start at the beginning! We started out the month of December with a bang! Lily Kate got the chance to walk in the Wake Forest Christmas Parade with her dance class! The little girls were asked to decorate a wagon to ride in for the parade. Lily Kate and her friend Peyton decided to ride in a wagon together! Their daddies are both big hunters, so they had the creative idea to put "Rudolph" on the front of their wagon! You wouldn't believe what a huge hit it was in the parade! Everyone was hootin' and hollerin' as the girls rode through town, and both of them waved at the crowd like princesses the whole time! It was such a fun time!
Lily Kate's class hosted a Christmas performance right before Christmas vacation! All of the parents were invited to see the Ladybug Class perform Christmas/praise songs that they had been practicing! Ms. Julie, the music teacher, stopped me on my way in to tell me that Lily Kate was the hit of the show! She said she LOVES music class, and that she always has quite an array of moves to go with the songs! :-) I was totally surprised that Lily Kate actually acted shy when the performance began. She covered her face at the beginning of the first song, and even squatted down at one point like she wasn't going to sing! But then she got her groove back! She started singing loud and dancing around, and by the last song she was shaking her jingle bell like crazy! It was so stinkin' cute! She was super excited that Sterling came to see her sing.... she didn't care that Mommy was there! :-)
