It hardly seems possible that my baby is 3 years old! On December 2nd, we celebrated Lily Kate's 3rd birthday, and boy was it a special day! Lily Kate had been talking about her birthday for MONTHS! In her mind, turning 3 was BIG STUFF and she was convinced that she was almost grown! We got up the morning of her birthday and went to church! She put on her special birthday outfit and she was so excited to tell her friends at church that it was her big day! She walked right into her class and announced that it was her birthday! After church we took her out for a special birthday lunch! Lily Kate got to pick the place, so she chose Fujisan! That Japanese restaurant is her favorite place to go! We go there on family date nights and she absolutely loves it because they cook in front of you. She got her big plate of shrimp, and she was in heaven! They sang to her and brought her a special dessert too! When we got home, Lily Kate got to open her presents! She got clothes, a few games (Hungry Hippo, Gone Fishin' and a few others), a guitar.... but her big surprise was a pink BB-Gun from her Daddy! She was so excited that she was going to be able to hunt with her Daddy! This birthday will forever stand out in my mind as such a precious day.... My baby seems less like a baby and more like a little girl now. I'm amazed every day as I watch her grow into the precious little girl God wants her to be! She has a love for people that never ceases to amaze me and she loves Jesus! What more could parents ask for?!
